I have downloaded the program to my Iphone but my NAIPS existing username and password do not work.Rechecked the login on my computer and all worked ok.
Could you advise a solution please
Problem resolved with version 1.5.2
When submitting flight plans via iphone NAIPS, the confirmation screen showing the lodged flight plan at the end keeps leaving off the last leg as if I didn’t submit it. This is happening to me every time whenever I submit a 3 stage or 2 stage flight notification. A single stage flight notification submits ok. Could someone advise a solution please?
private email sent. A couple of guys have emailed me with this problem. The solution is usually that they haven’t filled in the route in each stage.
I have set it up so that it determines whether to submit a stage depending on whether the route is filled in (since it is a mandatory detail anyway).
Hi. I just downloaded NAIPS and I keep getting an incorrect username or password message whenever I try to access anything. Could you please advise what username and password is required as it will not download anything at present. Thanks.
Hey mate – you need to get a login from Airservices Australia website. http://www.airservices.gov.au/brief
Hi Rowan
Wonderful product – You are fixing a number of bugs as you go, and your support in this is commendable. To access these updates is there an ongoing fee? if it wasn’t intended to charge for updates how can your latest versions be downloaded without using the iTunes site and having to pay another fee. Tx
Hi steve – yeah all the updates are free. Once you have bought the app every time there is an update, Apple lets you download it for free from iTunes or the app store on your phone (in the Updates tab).
Rowan.
Hi, when I try to create a SPFIB, it will only allow me to enter 1 turning point otherwise the app shuts down. can this be fixed?
Hey mate – make sure you enter them in by a space (and I think the airport code, not navaid) and no spaces at the end. e.g:
YAYE YPTN YPAD
If it’s not that, it might be crashing because you have ticked Aust. Intl. series NOTAM (or one of the others – I can’t remember which one) but that’s a bug I’ve fixed and will be out in the next update. Try unticking all the boxes at the end and if it still crashes can you please send me all the fields you filled in? If it’s a bug elsewhere, I’ll fix that too.
Cheers,
Rowan.
How do I get out of the Flight Notifications page without submitting the flight notification please?
Hey mate -not sure what you mean. There should nearly always be a back button somewhere.
Worst case just reopen the program, it should only take 5 seconds.
Rowan.
Hi Rowan, Great app.
I am unable to enter any details on the flight plan submision screen. When i click on Aircraft ID:(for example) the field goes blue momentarily but the the keypad does not open?

I can not retrieve NOTAMS regarding Switzerland, for instance LSZA (Lugano-Agno)is it correct?
Can I use your iphone-NOTAMS Apps in Switzerland?
Kind regard and many thanks for an answer.
Paolo Speziali
Hi Paoolo – NAIPS is an Australian based system that links into some worldwide airports but not many. NAIPS will have Met & Notams for most major international airports, but for more obscure ones I use https://www.notams.jcs.mil (be aware this isn’t meant to be used for commercial uses).
Rowan.
Hi There,
Apologies if this is vague, I’m tech savvy but not a pilot, and I’m asking on behalf of my dad who is a pilot and not tech-savvy. So apologies if I am not using the correct terminology. He has NAIPS for iPad and is asking if you can create and save flight plans without submitting them to NAIPS? He would like to do ‘dry-runs’ on the iPad but not send them to the authorities.
Cheers,
Richard Ross
Hi Richard – yep no problems, just use the callsign “NOSEND” in all your plans and they don’t get entered into the system. You can also use that trick on the Airservices website.
Cheers,
Rowan.
